MADS Role Playing Game
Have you ever wondered who has the toughest warrior? Or if your paladin with his magic sword can survive an encounter with a hostile alien horde? Care to see how your archmage would fair against a comic book supervillian?
MADS is a role playing game that can answer that question and many others. As a character conversion system it doesn't take a character from system A and convert it into a character from system B. Rather, it is designed to take the characters from system A and system B and convert them to the MADS system. MADS also includes its own character generation rules, guidelines for creating new skills and spells, and tips on how to use MADS in you gaming sessions. Best of all, your other game books do not become obsolete, as MADS is meant to supplement your favorite system, not replace it. Got a character? Then you can play!
MADS Quick Start Rules: This version contains the rules necessary to convert a character from any system into the MADS system.
MADS Core Book: The full rule set contains the conversion rules, an alternate "quick and easy" game mechanic, rules for vehicles and vehicle combat, templates for monsters, rules for creating new spells and weapon skills, and the MADS original character generation system.
MADS Manual of Might: This expansion for MADS contains everything you need to generate super powered characters for the MADS game. Inside you'll find five different super human templates, templates for non-super powered characters, new knacks and fighting styles, and dozens of super powers.
Scum and Villainy: The follow up to MADS Manual of Might, Scum and Villainy contains 40 antagonists to torment your players. This book draws upon material from MADS Manual of Might but has been written in such a way that it is not necessary to have that book to make use of this one.
